Mini-documentary... SEX SLAVERY

Human Trafficking.
Slavery.
Interviews.
Questions.
Answers.
Facts.

 Complied by: Christine Tjahjadi-Lopez
Filmed: November 2011

This was my final product of 12 hours of work.  I conducted a hand full of interviews and used resources from notforsalecampaign.org as well as and interview with representative Nia Bates from ratanak.org.  My goal was to see how people of all ages felt about this issue, form middle school children to college students, to a mother with children.  I wasn't sure what people thought, I barely knew anything when I began this mini-documentary.  I wanted everyone to relate and get heads turning and hearts pounding. As I presented this video in class I asked, "Why is this such a hard topic to address?"  After a pause, I promoted the 38 college kids,

"You are telling me that
NONE of YOU have
an opinion on this issue?"

Finally, after moments of silence, a good-looking, athletic, young man raised his hand.  As the room sat silent he said, "You wouldn't just start talking about something like this... it's so random... it's controversial."

How is SEX TRAFFICKING controversial?
What majority of people SUPPORT sex trafficking?  "Do you really think it's controversial- allowing people to trade and get money for raping women?"

If YOU do not take a stand, WHO will?
IGNORANCE is NOT BLISS.

What a blessing! RE: The Cheese State

I am about to leave Wisconsin, and boy has it been a blessing!  I reconnected with old friends, and was very encouraged and at AWE of how God is working in my friends' lives!

Patience. The Lord wants me to learn patience, and appreciate all I have.  Also, I have been working on  my human trafficking video.  Here is one of the resources I am using, which is from a website: notforsalecampaign.org
I also interviewed a few people around Wisconsin, and I will post my final video soon! It should be super interesting!

Matched in Heaven

To my perfect man:
I will wait for you because we were matched in heaven.  You will love me for who I am and you will strengthen my talents.  Our relationship will be based on God and will be centered around our Lord.  I know you will be patient with me, but when I drive you crazy, I hope you will still love me.  We will not meet on the internet.  You will be chivalrous.  We will promote health, life, and social change throughout the world, starting in our community.  We will be a beacon of light to many, and many will inspire us.  But God shall be our home.

My FIRST Product Shoot!

This past sunday I did my first photoshoot for a garment I designed and sewed.  It took about 4 weeks to complete.
It was 34 Degrees! my model braved it out! I would have frozen and turned red, but no! this girl has some endurance!  Here were my expenses:

$60 fabric and materials (with a coupon)
$50 photographer(this is so much! I think I want to start shooting myself..shooting photos, not myself)
$8 gasoline (driving to find locations)

It took 1 hour to do her hair and makeup.  I also got a parking ticket, because I parked in the wrong parking lot.. apparently I can not trust people when I ask where I can park.
