Water. Yoga. Ballet.

The last time I visited Malibu Creek State Park I had this vision where I would take photos across this very pond. I came back and made that vision come to life.

I went out and took a day trip with one of my good friends this past weekend. In the process we learned so much about each other and were able to have fun, get injured, and laugh together. To get to this spot, I wrapped my camera in two plastic bags (both of which had holes in them) and swam across the pond with my arm in the air. That was probably a very dumb idea, but I really wanted to get these photos. Put together friends, a camera, water, some yoga and ballet moves and you get... SUCCESS! <3 If you are looking for cliff jumping or a water-with-rocks location in Southern California for a photoshoot, I would definitely recommend this place!

I know many people who have recently been entering the hospital and getting injured (also getting married, but that's another story). It just reminds me how precious every moment in life is. I try to live every moment like it was one of my last. Whether this means taking advantage of God's beautiful creation, working my hardest at a task, or sharing my heart and talents to others to help them feel joy, I aim to have this mentality as a part of my daily living. I don't always succeed at being my best or treating others in the most loving way, but I try.  Every time I mess up I remember that although I may be a sinner, I need to love myself where I am at and continuously strive for the greatness God has in store for me. :)

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all comparison shall guard your hearts and minds in Jesus Christ."

Phillippians 4:6-7

When you crave more, look internally and ask yourself if what you crave is to further His kingdom or to celebrate His creation. What do you crave more of? Does it root back to love?

"Life is not measured by our breaths, but by the moments that take our breath away."
-Anonymous

Every season in life brings forth new opportunities to grow and learn.  Recently I have been realizing the little things. I think this is because now that I am graduated, I am not constantly thinking about the next event or exam or meeting planned in the day. Even with my full-time internship and little side projects I have down time (a perviously unknown concept.) In this season of my life I am learning patience...something I literally have been praying for since 3rd grade. Coming out to live in California alone for this internship has not only been a blessings but an answered prayer!

Patience is such a beautiful thing because it bridges the gap between present and future. Also, patience is such a wonderful expression of love. Every day that I grow more and more patient is a day that I see myself becoming a stronger young woman in Christ. <3

Blessed by an Answered Prayer,
Christine
